Need help designing a killer interface and experience for your users?

We’ll help you create features that blow your users away.

If you want your app to really stand out, you need to deliver features that your customers really want/need AND those features have to feel intuitive and understandable.

When you nail this, your app feels like magic.

What is UX or User Experience Design?

User Experience (UX) Design is the process of really thinking through how your users will experience what you have to offer. It’s the features, the order of information, the structure of your data, and the physiological needs your app is fulfilling for your users. It mainly focuses on wireframing an application and structuring all its components and elements appropriately to create the user flow.

What is UI or User Interface Design?

The User Interface (UI), on the other hand, is the process of improving the look and feel of your app. The focus here is what your users will see as they are browsing through each screen or flow within your app.

Each screen, page, buttons and other visual elements you see while using an application needs to be thought through, and designed with intention.

What is UI & UX so important?

The primary goal of any business is to increase its sales and increase the growth of the business. UX/UI Design plays an essential role in achieving this goal. The UX/UI Design of the application improves the user experience and customer satisfaction that ultimately helps increase the number of users of the specific application.

With users having lots of choices and alternatives for the products and/ or services you are offering them, the span of time you get to grab the attention of your users is quite less and you have to hit the bullseye in this short span of time.

The UI and UX Design help to win the consumers’ confidence and make them use your application or website providing them what they are looking for. The number of consumers you are getting on your website / application can measure the success of the great UI and UX.

Trusted by some of the biggest names in the tech industry.

Between our team, clients, network, and the guests we talk to every single week on our podcast,
How to Build An App, we have a deeper well of knowledge than your average code shop.
"Want to know how to get investors excited about your idea? Ask for their advice! If you go to an investor looking for advice, you get money. If you go asking for money, you get advice."

"Yes, the bar is high for apps these days, but you’ve got to focus on solving one problem first and THEN you can consider taking other verticals on your product."

STEP 1

Discovery

Our first set of meetings is all about getting to know your idea on an intimate level. What are the strategic advantages you have as a company? What are the features we should prioritize? How does your idea fit into the bigger picture?
STEP 2

Design Workshops

It’s really fun to get under the hood of your idea and start documenting how these features will come to life. This is done through our “AS-IS” workshop where we diagram how your customer solves a certain problem right now, and through our “TO-BE” workshop where we dream about a better way to solve those problems in our dream world.
STEP 3

Competitive Audit

Let’s see how your idea stacks up against the existing players out there. By mapping the strengths, weaknesses, and positioning of your competitors, we can build a plan for how YOU can cut through the noise with your new app.

STEP 4

Design

Now that we know what we’re building, who we’re helping, and which features are the most important, now it’s time for the rubber to meet the road. This is done through our high-fidelity design process where you’ll be able to see exactly how your app will look, feel, and function.
STEP 5

Usability Testing

This is where our design is put to the test. Through interviews, collecting feedback, and watching users go through a recorded demo of your app, we’ll see where people get hung up. This allows us to tweak the design together to solve problems at a fraction of the cost and hassle it would take to make changes after we’ve coded out certain sections and features.
Hear anne's story:

“I was realizing that my vision was this small, and it needed to be THAT big.”

Anne Craig saw the difference in working with us in her first meeting where we ran her idea through our design thinking workshop.

You can go anywhere and find a developer who will just do what you tell them to do…
We’ll actually collaborate with you to turn your idea into the biggest, baddest, version you can possibly create.

5 Reasons Strides Development is the right choice for your iOS app project:

1
We can help you app the way from concept to finished code.
We manage your app-build process from beginning to end. We love the process of turning your ideas into finished apps, live on the app store and we have experience with holding workshops to refine ideas and features, designing high-fidelity prototypes used for raising money, optimizing app store listings, and more.
2
Our team is US-based, on-demand, and ridiculously skilled.
There is a time and place for using offshore teams to save money, but that’s not what you want to do when you’re first building your app. We are kind of obsessed with quality assurance and building apps with stable (and well-documented) code behind them.
3
We’re not just code geeks: We have a full team across different disciplines.
The “code” of your app actually shouldn’t be your main focal point… We’ve found that when you focus on making an app that solves a real problem for your users, and you get REALLY clear about your features, the rest of the process becomes smooth. Our team is well-versed in market research, user testing, data collection, and marketing. Yeah, we’ll code a great app, but we have the other pieces you need as well.
4
We’ll remove the chaos and confusion from the process and make this fun for you.
The main difference you’ll notice in working with Strides? Communication! We have the process clearly laid out and you’ll be able to see the roadmap and vision so you know how to move through each stage of the process.
5
Bottom line? We know what it takes to make an app wildly successful.
In this process, we become partners in your idea and our role becomes helping YOU as the founder make the best decisions possible. We are experts in helping our clients narrow in on the features that really matter.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

I started Strides because of a huge gap that needed to be filled…

Hey! I’m Austin Betzer 👋

Founders and developers essentially speak different languages… Which makes it REALLY hard for founders to get the right people on board their project in a meaningful way.

I started Strides so that founders and developers could work hand-in-hand — towards the same goals and get way more done in way less time.

Here's how it works before we engage:

Before we're official, let's make a strategy call happen. We can get to know each other, review your idea together, and give you some actionable takeaways.
Schedule a 30-minute strategy call with us.
We want to hear your app’s story. We want to hear your story.
Fill out a quick application so we know how to help.
Let us know the particulars around funding, budgets, and timeline.
Come to your strategy call ready to rock & roll.
We promise to give you some great insights. Ready?
"Strides helped me build a high-fidelity prototype of my app idea, and I used that PROTOTYPE to go land new customers and a handful of deals... before we even began development. These guys are good."
Luke Spiker
founder, Aloe
"I am a HIGHLY skeptical person so it's really hard to impress me... I have to say after the first design strategy call I was like... 'OH. That's why they are so good at what they do.'"
Spencer Humiston
founder, Night Lights Event

FAQ

Why is validation so important?
Our App Accelerator program involves a significant amount of market validation. This research is what lets us confidently tell you, “This is an idea that will serve your target market… based on data!” Validation gives you the data to move forward with confidence.
What do I get in the design phase?
We will pick a few key screens or features in your app and deliver three design concepts. Once you narrow down which direction is the best, we’ll move forward on designing your ENTIRE app and delivering a clickable prototype.
Is this process going to crush my dreams?
Maybe. :) Our goal in this process isn’t to just build whatever ideas you have. Our goal is to take your ideas, research them, validate them, and expand upon them. So you could say that your original idea will give way to an expanded and updated vision.
I just want to start coding… Why do I need this?
Simply put, this process will save you a ton of time and money when you do get to the development stage. This will narrow your vision, bring out new ideas, and strategize how to deliver your unique features and ideas in the most effective way.
Will this process get me a COMPLETED app?
Through this process you’ll have a DESIGNED app built in a clickacble format so you can demo the app on your phone but it is not a completed app with code. This of this like the blueprint behind your dream house.
Why is this the best first step in building my app?
This is a common question for founders with a limited budget — “I don’t want to spend money on strategy… I want to put every dime into code! If you have a limited budget, the BEST place to invest is in getting hard data around your idea.
